I’ve got a feeling you’re alone tonight
Scrolling through comments looking for a fight
It can’t be easy always being right
I hope it makes you feel important
Oh maybe
You’ll figure out
Oh maybe
You’ll work it out
Oh maybe
You’ll find it out
(Oh maybe)
It’s never really even worth it
**The time we have
Moves way too fast
To waste it with
Your pettiness
Why can’t you find
A better way
To make yourself
Feel relevant
What would it take to make you feel okay
Maybe if everybody thought the same
Life would align for you in every way
And then you’d be someone important
Oh maybe
You’ll figure out
Just maybe
You’ll work it out
Oh maybe
You’ll find it out
(Oh maybe)
It’s never really even worth it
**
I don’t get it, what is this achieving
I don’t get it, what are you believing
You call it urgent
And keep on searching
But nothing’s coming back with any meaning

Patterns
03:14

**I’m never gonna lose it
I’m always gonna choose it
Even when it starts to bend and
It’s something in the matter
Formulating patterns
Running through my history
Lately I’ve been thinking
Maybe I’ve been dreaming
Something seems to not quite feel the same
Could it be a flashing
Thought of a contrasting
Point of view that leads me to the edge
**
The story seems to get old
The way it’s always been told
Words and phrases start to lose their shine
But seeing through a new lens
Renewing all the meaning
Shows me the same version redefined
Never was it less true
And never was it less you
It’s always been unfolding over time
**
And it’s taken time
And it modifies
But I’m not
Who I was
And I’m not
Who I’ll be
When my time is done

Mexico
03:36

Caught a ride for drinks at noon
Just to steal some time with you
Staying up through half the night
Holding off the morning light
**I’m not done feeling young with you
We’ve got a lot of miles to go
Hearts in time in the shine of the midnight glow
Tonight in Mexico
Flew to Denver in the fall
Red Rocks and a secret bar
Manhattan in the snow
Broadway for an early show
When times are good and times are bad and life can overwhelm
I never doubt the words we wrote and promised to ourselves
Life moves fast in a short time
But we slow down as it goes by

(Maybe) We Can Make It
04:58
|
|||
We’ve got a lot to say
Arguing policy
Informing everybody why they’re wrong
What could we dream to be
If we would try to see
The world through someone else’s set of eyes
And we might never find our common ground
Our voices lost among the cluttered sound now
We’re living in a black and white fight
No one can see clearly
We’ve blurred our view to make us right
Maybe
We can
Make it
Find our way back and see it through
Throw away all our
Misconceptions
And find the truth
Maybe we can make it and figure it out
There maybe something better than living in doubt
